Improv For Young Actors
Instructor: Kim Marino
Schedule: Thursdays 4:00 – 5:15pm Ages 12 – 17
Let’s get you to the point of fearlessness on the stage! Lower your inhibitions and be prepared for a class full of guaranteed fun and laughter. Through various exercises gain confidence and trust in committing yourself to the experience. Using theatrical games and physical exercises students can learn the basics of improvisation. You are encouraged to use your imagination and with teamwork invent complete scenes and situations without the use of a prop, costume, or set. Learn to trust your instincts in bringing reality and humor to the stage.

Broadway Kids (Musical Theater)

Schedule: Tuesdays 5:00 – 6:15pm Ages 7 – 11
Tuesdays 6:15 – 7:30pm Ages 12 – 17
Groove to the great show tunes from Broadway. Enjoy the experience of performing on a stage in front of a live audience. Develop confidence performing songs, scenes, and dances from a large variety of Broadway shows. Through teamwork and trust you will learn valuable performance skills to become that, “triple threat!” This course gives you the opportunity to learn from an industry professional to guide you through the musical theater experience. Take your bow and get ready for a great workshop!

Acting 101, Adventures In Acting (Beginning Acting)
Instructor: Kim Marino
Schedule: Wednesdays 4:00 – 5:15pm Ages 7 – 11 Wednesdays 5:15 – 6:30pm Ages 12 - 17
In this acting for beginners/intermediate workshop you will be asked to participate in theatrical fun and games. Course description includes: improvisation, scene study, monologues, understanding industry experience, learning the do’s & dont’s of the industry as well as industry terminology. This workshop helps to develop self-confidence and builds self-esteem. Students will learn to expand their imaginations, given the tools to get them out of their heads, staying in the moment, and how to “let go” of all inhibitions while on the stage.

Rising Stars (Advanced Kids Acting)
Instructor: Frank Todisco
Schedule: Saturdays 10:15 – 11:30am
Ages 12 – 17
Taking advanced acting courses is where it really starts to get fun...and challenging. In this course you will learn what is needed to get to the next level. You will explore your character’s persona, and interact with each other via scenes and monologues. At this advanced level workshop, students will focus on how to be truthful in their scene work, connecting with other actors, taking direction, and improvisation. This program will focus on the individual needs and levels of each student to prepare them better for larger roles and more intensive subject matter.

How To Perfect Your Audition Technique

Schedule: Thursdays 5:15 – 6:30
Ages 12 – 17
Discover the best way to properly audition for the theater. Learn proper techniques, gain a repertoire of sheet music and monologues, and have the opportunity to meet and work with industry professionals and guests. You want your audition to be perfect… to land your dream role or job… this workshop gets you that special edge of perfecting your skills and confidence level. Get critiqued from the experts by doing “mock” auditions and gain the knowledge to be the best you can be. Kim and Rich make their technique sessions invaluable to all actors who participate and make the auditions become less stressful, fun, and successful!

Private Acting Coaching
Coach: Kim Marino
Schedule: Please call the theatre to schedule an appointment.
Actors would commit to meeting with Kim once per week for a minimum of one month for a one hour private session. During these coaching lessons, the actor/student is encouraged to setting short term and long term goals for their career path. Kim will guide you through her experiences of the realities of the industry giving specific guidance to obtaining an agent, putting together a headshot & resume, choosing appropriate monologues or audition materials, full preparation for an audition, and ultimately aiding in booking a job. By working one on one, Kim will help the actor gain self-confidence and remove the word “fear” of the unknown in the industry. Besides consistent work with “sides” (small sections of scripts, commercial copy, etc.), monologues, and audition preparation materials, the actor will leave each session with a better perspective of the industry and the direction in which they want to take their career.

Private Vocal Coaching
Coach: Rich Lovallo

Singers would have the opportunity to work one on one with Rich perfecting not only their vocal abilities, but their singing auditions as well to bring out the best in themselves. Rich will work with each performer to teach them proper vocal technique, stage presence, vocal placement, breath support, diction, pitch, self-confidence, and build their musical repertoire to aid them in future performances and auditions. . By working one on one to perfect your singing talent you will be encouraged to have more confidence in your performance skills, expression, and creativity. Rich works with both beginners and advanced singers.
